Alyssa Monti Wolfhanger
Alyssa was born and raised in Rochester NY and is a Performance Plus alumni. Her love of dance began with her Mother, Maritrese, who is also a Performance Plus alumni. Alyssa danced for 16 years as a competitive dancer and has competed both in and out of state at various dance competitions, mostly known for her musical theater routines. She worked hard for her technique, but the passion came easily. Alyssa is now entering her 5th year as a dance teacher. Alyssa, like her mother, specializes in preschool and elementary ages. Alyssa also loves teaching older ages and competition classes. She incorporates stories and props in order to make class more entertaining and memorable. Her “baby” classes are her pride and joy and she spends lots of time making sure they look just as good as the “big girls” when recital time comes. Alyssa loves seeing dancers grow and find themselves whether it is competitively or recreationally. She hopes to inspire her students and spread her passion of dance to the upcoming generations. Alyssa is in her last year of her Master of Social Work program at SUNY Brockport and hopes to become a child therapist. Alyssa is thrilled to be back at her dance home with those who helped her get to where she is now.
