Lily Janneck

Lily Janneck was born and raised on the small island of Maui. She started dancing at the age of nine at one of Maui’s only ballet studios, Alexander Academy of Performing Arts. Lily was head over heels for ballet and by the age of 13, she moved across the Pacific to begin serious training. During her training, Lily moved from Virginia to New York City to Texas to receive top training from renowned ballet instructors such as Edward Ellison, Aram Manukyan, and Catherine Lewellen. Under Catherine Lewellen’s coaching, Lily would go on to win second overall in the ADC IBC finals as well as compete in the final round of YAGP Finals 2021. After Lily graduated from Catherine Lewellen’s School (Elite Classical Coaching) in 2022, she accepted a traineeship with Alberta Ballet in Canada. The following year in 2023, Lily was hired to guest in Ballet Dortmund’s production of Swan Lake. In 2024, Lily moved from Germany to New York after accepting a contract from Rochester City Ballet. In September of 2025, Lily will begin her second year with RCB as well as start teaching at Performance Plus Dance. Lily can’t be anymore excited to continue teaching PPD’s young talent and hopes her students are just as thrilled for the upcoming year as she is!
